HYPE

The HYPE Program (Helping Youth Prevent Engaging in Risky Behaviors) primarily serves African American and Hispanic/Latino youth ages 10-19 living in Houston, Texas and attending schools in Harris County.

Hype is an adult preparation program which incorporates topics such as teen pregnancy prevention, healthy relationships, and life skills by using evidence-based curriculums Becoming a Responsible Teen, Health Smarts, Relationship Smarts, Botvin’s LifeSkills, and Money Habitudes. This social-emotional learning program empowers youth with the skills needed for positive youth development and avoiding risky behaviors.
